YOU Inspire Magazine

I have only just got around to reading the magazine my nan sent me at the start of the week- YOU Inspire- I think it was free with the Sunday Times I think.. Anyway I started flicking though and was soo impressed with the look and layout and even the content of what is just a freebie with a cheap paper! Its nice to see the high quality editorials in the larger A3 size and I was surprised at the quailty of the journaism and how unique some of the products& brands featured were. I will definitely be asking my nan to send this up more often!

My favourite spread was called Oh so Sophie! and was about the beautiful actress/model Sophie Kennedy-Clark.. definitely one to watch for the furute..

Something else that I leart is about the Berkley in London, apparently famous for their Pret-a-Portea (tea served with cookies inspired by designers such as Dior and Alexander Mcqueen!) have a "Fashion Trunk"- a collaboration with the luxury online vintage store Atelier-Mayer which is basically a calf leather covered trunk with its drawers filled with vintage pieces from the 50's to the 80's by prestigious designers such as Lanvin and Chanel.. best of all it is availiable for guests staying in the feature suites- guests are allowed to wear/use anything in the trunk for that evening and- if the wish to purchase anything from the trunk..! Amazing!

LFW Day 1

Pastel colours seemed to steal the show at PPQ on Friday. The show seemed quite edgy as the pieces looked a bit mis-matched in areas with a distintly nautical feel to some of the garments. I love the fact that PPQ arent afraid to be young and dared to be creative with double denim and cowboy looks on the catwalk.

LFW Day 1

Felder Felder is a reletively new brand that I have had my eye on for a little while now.. needless to day their show on Friday didn't dissapoint! I thought the entire collection was seamless and probably their best so far.. I love way their unique leather accessories have been used to add a punky edge to their beautiful gowns and dresses.. I love everything in this collection and think its all wearable which is very rare!

LFW Day 1

My favourite shows of the first day of LFW's S/S12 shows has to be..

When I'm shopping with my boyfriend and I pick something up that I like and ask his opinion he always says "Well it's pale and floaty.. like everything you own.." So here are a few of my favourites:

I was defiantely drawn to the pale and floaty nature of the first half of the collection but also found I loved the darker midnight blue pieces at the end and thought a beautiful orange dress in the middle tied to colours together so well for a S/S collection.. the runway was simple with autumn leaves on the floor to compliment the golden threads throughout. The dresses and trousers were really loose fitting but perfectly cut to compliment the models figure (or lack of).

I can't believe Spring/Summer is here again already..

Well at least in the fashion world. As I have been working at Sainsbury's NON-STOP over the past few months since uni (to earn a bit of money for my shopping addiction) it seems as if LFW has crept up on me very quickly.. Hence missing the first couple of days! Luckily I spent the evening catching up on my favourite shows so far and the ones I am most anticipating.. This is definately the best way to put off the work I should be doing!
